26/10/2020

As part of the project “Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools – Implementing greywater treatment and reuse and improving water, sanitation and hygiene services in schools”, MIRRA handed over the installed greywater treatment and reuse systems at Maymounah Bint Al-Hareth Elementary School for Girls and Huttein Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys to the Education Directorate in Irbid.

The treated greywater is primarily reused for toilet flushing. As exhibited below, these systems include several components other than the treatment unit itself, such as a “back-up” tank, which automatically supplies freshwater for toilet flushing in case of low-flow conditions of greywater.

The project is funded by UNICEF and Implemented by MIRRA.
