MIRRA – HTU trainees Visit to MIRRA Lab

The HTU 13 female trainees visited our lab to learn about Soil and Water quality Testing. The trainees were trained on, how to measure water salinity and pH using the pH meter and EC meter, how to determine the soil texture using the hydrometer method, and how to prepare soil extract to measure different soil quality parameters such as Salinity and pH. The trainees are now familiar with all equipment and tools required for determining the soil texture, and procedure for preparing a soil extract. 

This training is part of the collaboration project between the Hussein Technical University and Sahara project. The goal of this training to enhance the capacities of female unemployed female engineers on the innovation and food production inside the Water- Energy- Food Nexus in Jordan.
